KdV is my favorite parade to actually watch/people watch, especially with the outfits and brass bands. Its normally such a unique experience to watch a parade in the FQ or Marigny, although maybe not quite as much now since Frenchman is more touristy.
That said, KdV is at its best when skewering local issues/politics. Lately, its been more national issue-based (like Trump and other stuff) which to me takes away some of the originality of the parade. Their best work was things like the Besh floats -- LINK
