that sounds like every person's account of hitting a little turbulence in flight, not saying that wasn't the case but that's a textbook description

that's the biggest factor right there to me, they really had no choice

Do you think its relevant to the investigation that Kobe might have hot dogged it with previous pilots?

Maybe but absent the pilot telling his boss before takeoff that he wasn't comfortable flying in those conditions but Kobe was putting the screws to him, how could you possibly prove anything where anybody would feel confident putting that in a final report?

The truth is probably that they've flown in these conditions many times before over the years and both Kobe and pilot felt confident in the pilot's abilities to handle it.

Isn't supposed to anyway, but I doubt it would be the first time a pilot gave into a VIP. Humans, power, and money have a way with each other.

No way to even remotely prove that with everyone dead though. So not even worth considering.

Kobe's helicopter was a 19 year old white girl?

Irrelevant. He clearly wasn't hot digging it when he crashed and it seems like he wasn't even piloting the helicopter at all.
Actually it isn’t irrelevant. It shows Kobe did not respect the aircraft or the dangers that come with it. This makes me tend to believe if the pilot was hesitant to fly that day Kobe would have pressured him to go.

You realize Kobe wan't flying the helicopter, Right? It's the pilots job to fly the helicopter. No matter what rich people may want them to do.

The irony is if the pilot refuses, we have zero news on Sunday and 9 people are still alive- and Kobe fires this guy for making them miss the game.

Is the helicopter shown in the OP's thread the same one that crashed? It has the correct number.

I ask because the crash photos show a blue and white colored chopper, not the same color motif shown in the photo.

I think the black “paint job” was a wrap. The helicopter had the light/navy blue livery before it was sold to Kobe.

Why was the helicopter going 180+ mph in that soup? According to the copter specs, that is pretty much full speed.

Is that kind of speed necessary or could they have been going a much lesser speed while trying to figure things out?

Sorry if these are dumb questions, don't know the first thing about helicopters.

I think helicopters go about 150 knots.
