I could probably hit about a 5.0 40 still so if faced with getting stabbed…that’s my defense.

I teach this shite. Don't waste your time. The winner in a knife fight is the one that's still alive when they get to the ER. I tell people they need to put a lot of time working on clinches, joint control, wrestling, and grappling before they waste time trying to learn how to fight with or against a knife.

Registered for EWO in Tampa in June.
The extreme close quarters class was intense but a lot of fun.
Agree 100% no one wins a knife fight and paper cuts hurt, so having a blade in or on you is no game. I don’t always conceal carry but almost always have a knife. Getting away will be first response every time.

Get a buddy and yall get some sharpies and "knife fight"
You'll both be marked all to shite in seconds. In a knife fight, everybody is getting fricked up and almost dying.

I think you have to have killed a few people before they'll take you seriously.

Yep. A dude on another forum I used to post on said this almost exactly. If you’re dumb enough to engage in a knife fight, at best you need stitches in multiple places and at worst you bleed out and die. Create distance and pull your firearm.
And not sure if said specifically but you literally need to be prepared to get cut so that you don’t lose focus when it happens, and even be willing to trade a blocking cut (like outside arm) in order to gain a better advantage.
ETA: You also need to study target diagrams for preferred parts of the body to attack (other than the obvious of course).

I'd watch this if it was on TV.

Bring a gun. Class over

I’ve seen signs advertising axe throwing classes. Just take one of those and start carrying an axe or hatchet around with you. Based on movies I’ve seen about Vikings, this also seems to be a more common primary battle weapon, historically, than a knife.

Knife fighting is pretty easy. Just remember to bring a gun to the knife fight and not let your opponent get close.
