On the surface this is really weird. But how long have they been dating? Is it one of those "we aren't getting married because we don't believe in it" dating? Or have they been dating for a short time?
If he's been a part of this little girl's life like a father figure for years, it maybe isn't terrible. Still strange though, at the very least b

Never had this happen. A mom, sure, but a dad, hell naw. My parents did kiss me, but definitely not on my lips, and i hated every gaddum kiss

Thats weird IMO. He doesn't need to kiss her on the lips to show her affection, and its her BF, not the father of her daughter. Thats weird IMO.

If you slip your 12 year old daughter the tongue, it's only sexual if you think it is. Otherwise it's okay.

My one year old son kisses me and his mom on the lips. When we ask for a kiss, he'll lean forward, purse his lips and go "mmmmmmmm". Not sure I could say no to that even if I wanted to.
I'm sure he'll stop doing it when he thinks it's not cool, but I'm not going to be the one to suggest it. Too awesome.

Plenty of people do this and it is not a sexual thing at all. You are coming off as pretty close minded by projecting your perspective on the world at large. You may considered it a sexual act, but that doesn't mean it's actually considered a sexual act by those involved.

Well considering I've only seen it a handful of times with kids old enough to understand the difference, I definitely don't think I'd consider it a social norm.

I didn't grow up with kissy parents, and I don't have any desire to show affection to my parents that way. But I could totally see myself being a kissy mother if I had little kids.
