Who remembers KISS riding in Endymion and they backed out because of the rain? NOPD was on strike and the parade ran on Vets where Office Depot is around LAF Park? I was pissed as a kid

In that case, I'm guessing nobody remembers them riding in Endymion.

I remember, but do not care. Also,I don’t think anyone should ever see Gene Simmons and Ace Frehley wet. Not a good image.

Imagine going to see KISS, but the opening band blew out the equipment and they had to cancel, causing a riot.
Would me telling you the opener was Styx make you believe?

One of my brothers went and came home with a premium KISS collectible - a super cheap transistor radio with a KISS “wrap” applied to it. Lasted about a week.

Loved Kiss as a kid but as an adult the music doesn’t hold up. They were marketing geniuses.

KISS was poser assholes.

Though it did rain that day, they backed out because of the police strike and Endymion riding in Kenner...
I was a freshman at Rummel, and in the marching band. We were in front of the float that Kiss was supposed to ride on. I had a Disco Sucks shirt on under my band uniform...

Match made in heaven, Endymion is the KISS of parades.
Has there ever been a more overrated band than KISS? Overproduction and trashy

A guy I know is a big Mardi Gras guy, he has a friend that owns a prominent restaurant in New Orleans. Gene Simmons was eating at the restaurant. He gave Gene Simmons some Kiss doubloons that were made for the Kiss members to throw off their float. Simmons did not know about the doubloons, he has a huge collection of Kiss memorabilia. He was very appreciative to get the doubloons.
I know, CSB.

So much greatness here
Damn you and your rabbit hole. I'm going to be up all night with this. They had me at these two lines:
- The whole situation, plus police seizures of "$1,300 of illegal drugs and paraphernalia from the fans" during the concert beg the question that the "short" might have been seen as a convenient way out of a potentially dangerous situation. No concerts were held at this venue until June 1976 when REO Speedwagon came to town with Head First.
- Cadillac High School Coach Jim Neff attended this show.

Duuuude!!!! I was thinking about that the other day, seriously. I remember when they were selling it on TV in the afternoons in the mid to late 70's. It came about as my 18yr old son was asking me if I would go see KISS' farewell tour and I told him that I went to it already 20 years ago in Biloxi. Gene Simmons was doing marketing crap back then too.
