I would love to see a match between a gorilla and a orca.

why? these things knock out great whites for sport. relatively speaking, a gorilla is not much stronger than a human and furthermore, cannot swim. there would be no fight.

Orcas are some of tGOAT hunters. It's amazing some of the shite they are capable of.

Apparently different pods/clans each have unique and distinct hunting tactics and unique "language" within the members of the pod/clan.

Many cetaceans -- whales, dolphins and porpoises included -- have these abilities to some degree. But orcas learn local and complex languages that are retained for many generations. And their bio-sonar, or echolocation, abilities also amaze researchers

However, as far as I can tell, there are no gulls of any sort in that gif. Snowy Egrets and Black-crowned Night-herons, with maybe one other thing.
You are right. No gulls in that gif. Egrets and herons, fish and orca. Gulls might be wise to orca tricks.

There is one bite on record and a couple instances of them being jerks just because.

A fishing guide we fished with in Alaska said he had regular Orca fishing buddy. Pretty often he would pop his head out of the water and squeak at him.

I saw a green heron do this the other day when I threw it some bread. It immediately put it in the water and about 2 seconds later it caught a fish. I was astounded! Looked it up, it’s a thing. Green herons use tools too.

It's believed that they kill to impress their owners. I don't believe it's seen in the wild.

Yeah, that surprised me too. The fish gets caught at 1:35 in this video.

I was bass fishing one time and there was a squirrel making all kinds of racket on the bank. I looked out in the water and about 30’ out there was a stump sticking up with an acorn on top. The squirrel jumped in swam to the stump and got the acorn as he was swimming back a huge bass came up and ate him. I was sitting there trying to figure out which lure to use to catch the trophy bass when the bass swam back to the stump and spit the acorn back out onto the stump.

I reeled my shite in and went to the house because I knew I wasn’t going to catch that smart sum bitch.
