If I have to go sit in a cry room with my child, what's the fricking point of even going to church?
I've never heard of a cry room but I'm guessing it's sort of like what we call nursery at my church? How we handle it is there is a rotation of moms who work the nursery. There's usually two or even three moms in there depending on how many kids are attending that day. For example about once every 3 months or so my wife will work the nursery.

Uhhh that's not at all what the quoted text means
It's says "Do not judge others, for if you do...you will also be judged"

The two churches I've attended regularly both had either regular volunteer teachers or employees for the small children.

yes, and come when you have chronic whooping cough...those people also have a special place in hell waiting for them

I was trying to do just that, but some a-hole, selfish parent had to plop his kid with an Ipad right in front of me. It was distracting.

No that's not what is it, that's a nursery

Exactly. He didn't include the next verses either.
3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?

Lafayette area churches are super old school. I was reading the wedding rules of one recently and they won't do Saturday evening full Mass weddings. Don't think there is a church in New Orleans that does that anymore.

Ours has one where during the liturgy of the word, the kids can go to the activity center where they learn about the readings/homily but in a kid-related way.

I'm pretty sure that is to discourage you from judging others.

I don't believe I meet the requirements. I'm pretty nice

St. John's won't do any wedding after 1:00 on Saturday

I'm perfectly nice, but I'm pretty sure that's not the Christian requirement for salvation.

Beat their kids in the face. Just make sure everyone sees you do it.
