Great video except for the part remember the first day of school and all of the kids were excited to be there.

Products in the video brought back a lot of good memories thanks for starting this thread.

From playing football, I remember the smell of mothballs when they distributed our uniforms. I also remember the smell of Florida water they used on hot and humid days to try to cool us down.

The inside of an old VW Beetle. It had a distinct smell to it. It wasn't just a musty smell, but all VWs smelled the same. My mom drove a Beetle as did a lot of people in the 60's and 70's.

Didn't it have like a wintergreen type of smell...?

When they used it it was like minty puke?

What years, because they eventually came out with a non-toxic one kids could buy. It's the one that smelled like oranges.

All I know was they wouldn't sell it to us at K&B, my mother had to buy it.

Doesn’t smell the same when it’s about to rain as it did back then. Guess my sense of smell has changed like my taste. And a cap gun is definitely a nostalgic smell.

Scorched spray starch. My grandmother used to iron her sheets with it. Mom used to mop with Pine Sol listening to albums a lot so I often smell Pine Sol and immediately think of Hotel California.

Another weird one is red worm boxes. PawPaw used to keep a worm bed in a dead fridge. That earthy worm scent makes me think of us chasing chinquapins in the john boat.

Most of us grew up with a parent smoking in the house, non rolled down window cars and trucks. We have not real idea what anything smelled like.

I swear that every used car I ever drove or rode in during the 70's smelled liked an ash tray on wheels.
