Correction to my post above
The judge was married to the sister whose sister is married to the chief prosecutor and their children (according to the prosecutor quoted in the Daily Mail) are like brothers and sisters.
Right. Mullins' wife and the prosecutor's wife are sisters.

Judge hands Sheriff his phone. Mickey hands judge his. More talking.
The seemingly unforced exchange of phones seems strange. If daughter involved I can see the sheriff wanting to check the judge’s phone and also maybe showing the judge something on his own phone, but handing over control of his phone to the judge seems strange. If daughter stuff was unknown before sheriff saw something on judge’s phone (like exchange was for some completely different reason) it would not seem as odd, but that goes against his alleged statement made during his arrest about taking wife and daughter.

I've wondered if Stines was showing him his daughter's phone.

Looking at Stine, we can’t rule out the possibility that this is one person he’s talking about.

Drugs. I think he's talking about drugs took them from him. Judge was too ugly for that girl to be messin with. Mama too. He probably got em hooked on something and one or both was trading him with secks.

True.

I’d want no part of being on that jury.
I know some real dirtbags that need to be removed from the earth. If they ever get whacked and I’m on the jury, I’ll be glad to have a part of it. I’d especially like to be held in seclusion from my wife during trial. That would be a nice addition.

He apparently was allowed to activate his pension and retire.

Seems unnecessary to pan camera over to show likely family members getting upset over the video of the shooting.

A Kentucky judge shot dead by a sheriff in his office ran it 'like a brothel' and was seen having sex with a 'girl' there, according to a witness' statement to police. District Judge Kevin Mullins, 54, was allegedly seen with the unidentified female in the same chambers where he was shot and killed by Letcher County Sheriff Shawn 'Mickey' Stines, 43, in September.
quote:
The allegation against the judge was made by Sabrina Adkins, a woman who was raped by one of Stines' deputies, Ben Fields, according to police audios obtained by NewsNation. 'I seen Judge Mullins having sex with a girl... In his office, in the judge’s chambers,' she said in a newly-obtained recording of a police interview. Adkins can be also heard saying that former deputy sheriff Fields 'does have some videotapes of some stuff in the judge’s chambers… just with girls, sexual and stuff.' She alleged that the tapes featured Fields and 'some higher ups' in the chambers having sex, suggesting there may be as-yet unidentified others involved in the sextortion scam. Adkins said in a federal lawsuit that she could not afford to pay for an ankle monitor and did not want to return to Letcher County Jail. Fields then coerced her into performing sexual favors so she could remain under home incarceration, according to a federal lawsuit in 2022.
quote:
Stines was accused in a lawsuit of not properly training and supervising ex-deputy Fields, who served six months in jail after he coerced Adkins, who was on home incarceration, into sex for favors in Judge Mullins's chambers.
