So did she send the photos to a student or not? Because the article seemingly contradicts the title.
It sounds like she had some nudes on her phone. She allowed her students to use her phone during class to play music, and someone decided to look through her phone and found nudes.
While this is still incredibly dumb in her part, that isn't nearly the same thing as purposely sending nudes.

I was wondering this as well when I saw the charges and the story:

So the statute includes "exhibits". But I wonder if intent plays into it if a kid accessed it without her permission (kind of what it sounds like):

Yes, but I get the argument. She knew she had nudes of herself on her phone and just handed it over to minors under her supervision…so she kinda did distribute nudes of herself.
If they were password protected and the kids hacked into her stuff then that would be different, but if they’re just sitting there in the photo album then yeah, I understand the charges.

Reading between the lines, I think there's a good chance the nudes the students looked at/shown were the male teacher, potentially without his consent.
That's a no-no on several other levels.
