According to the report, Shakur applied for unemployment insurance on March 13, the first day
Ooooooops.

During his daily press briefing Monday afternoon, Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear discussed the overwhelming number of unemployment applications the state is receiving and how frustrating it is when “bad apples” file under fake names, ultimately slowing down the payment process for those in need. Beshear used an example of an individual filing under “Tupac Shakur,” the name of the legendary rapper who died in 1996.

Ooooooops.

He'll now be labeled a nazi and a racist and anyone who has ever come into contact with him will be as well. I wish this was satire.

I see no changes.

I mean, it's possible there is more than one Tupac Shakur in the world, no?

We had somebody apply for unemployment for Tupac Shakur here in Kentucky,” Beshear said. “And that person may have thought they were being funny, they probably did. Except for the fact that because of them, we had to go through so many other claims. “We can’t be doing that.” The only issue? Tupac Malik Shakur is a real person living in Lexington, KY, and he’s “hurt” and “embarrassed” that his unemployment application isn’t being taken seriously by state officials “I’ve been struggling for like the last month trying to figure out how to pay the bills,” Shakur said, via the Herald-Leader. “I’m hurt, I’m really embarrassed and I’m shocked.”
Andy has been getting a little to big for his britches...and to think he wanted to make an example without fact checking caused egg on his face.

That reminds me of the ESPN Michael Jordan commercial

The state GOP will probably run with it because they're upset that he's been so popular as of late.

My thoughts too. He died 24 years ago, and was mainstream for about 5 years before that. Would not be surprising for someone to name a child after him that would now be in their mid to late 20s.

Sure, Andy has done a good job...but his daily press conferences are getting overdone. His kids singing during Easter was a little too much.

I missed where someone is holding a gun to your head to make you watch it.

Unfortunately my wife had it on during Easter. His son looked like he was forced to sit with his sister to sing for his father’s benefit.

He'd never make a statement like this about welfare or medicaid fraud.

Well that's it. Kid is probably damaged for life because his Dad made him do something.

Getting a bit defensive over your governor there aren't you?

Poor kids are going to catch shite at school. It looked so forced (obviously Andy wanted to play it up...IMHO, it looked like his son did not want to be on camera).

Eh, just think Mike's faux outrage is silly.

If you've only got one person following you around and downvoting you, you're an amateur.
Gotta get those numbers up!
