The simple truth its that fireworks should be outlawed beyond approved shows that have a specific time limit.
It should be a felony for the average citizen to have fireworks. They serve no purpose other than to make a loud noise and upset neighbors and animals.
I think fireworks shows are really cool. I dont think hearing them for days on end at random times after the 4th because people have left over black cats is okay at all.

My point still remains. You have no reason to have a firework other than to upset your neighbor. They dont protect you. They arent a commodity. They make a loud noise and harm others.

My dog can't stand fireworks either. Hell, I think most dogs are pretty nervous around this time of year due to all the fireworks. They don't understand because they're animals. But, you know what? All the dogs having panic attacks will be just fine in a day or so once everyone stops shooting fireworks.
If these folks cared about humans as much as they did their damn dogs, this country would be a lot better off.
ETA: I will, however, turn into a Karen if y'all motherfrickers keep shooting fireworks past a decent hour. I turn into a PTSD dog if I can't get enough sleep. 11pm is plenty of time to get all your America celebrations in. After that, take the shite inside or to the back porch and drink yourself into a stupor. Just please, stop with the damn fireworks after that.

That’s not the purpose that I nor the overwhelming majority of people buy fireworks. You’re making that up. Sure some assholes pop them when they aren’t supposed to, but they are a small portion of the population.

Cats deserve better than this board treats them. Disrespects our feline friends everyday. They're felines, not felons (which by the way, I don't have a problem with either.)
Cats hunt and kill with the best of them. This country does not need an uprising among our feline friends. They're just trying to make it in the crazy world too.
I'm currently organizing protest and petitions for the Jacksonville Jaguars and LSU Tigers to change these offensive mascots. They should not be used as symbols, but instead celebrated as the victims of discrimination that they've been subjected to for so long.
That Tiger statue, it's coming down. You'll rue the day it was erected. My plan is purrfect and will not be declawed by the oppressive dog lovers that have ruled our society for too long now.
