The rapper was performing in San Jose, California, as part of his Saint Pablo tour when he stopped the show to discuss the US election.

“At the Kanye concert,” wrote Twitter user SheyAnne, “and he's been talking about politics, 2020, opinions, education system. People are sitting and leaving.”

During the extended speech, Billboard reports he told the audience: “I told you I didn’t vote. But if I voted, I would have voted on Trump.”

Daniel Baldwin, a fan at the gig, tweeted that Kanye added: “They told me do not ever say that out loud.”

In further tweets he added: “Kanye just reassured us that he's running for president in 2020. Campaigning for a better education.

“People are leaving in the middle of a Kanye show because he won't stop ranting. Going on 30 minutes of Kanye talking …”

Another person at the gig tweeted: “Kanye just announced he’s a Trump supporter…”

I wouldn't read too much into this. He has learned well from his Wife's family the manta "there is no such thing as bad publicity"

I'd probably rather hear him talk politics for 30 minutes than hear 30 minutes of his music. Have to give him some credibility of intelligence if he is a Trump supporter.

George Bush doesn't care about black people, but apparently Trump does.

Yeah I'm sure a guy with an album called "college dropout" is who we want telling us about the importance of education.

Title is misleading. It tries to get readers to click by implying that the crowd booed and walked out because he said he would've voted for trump. What actually seems to have happened is people booed and walked out because he spent 30 minutes ranting about politics instead of performing his music.

Nice clickbait, Telegraph.
