From the same article

quote:

Robertson had been living in Dubai for more than 20 years before she was hired for the position. She said she most recently worked as the chief executive of an education consulting firm known as Atticus I S Consultants there.

In a conference call with the student journalists, Robertson “presented incomplete answers, conflicting dates and inconsistencies in her responses,” the students reported. She said she attended Corllins before it lost accreditation, the Booster Redux reported.

When contacted by the Kansas City Star after the publication of the students’ article, Robertson said all three of her degrees “have been authenticated by the U.S. government.” She declined to comment directly on students’ questions about her credentials, “because their concerns are not based on facts,” she said.

In an emergency faculty meeting Tuesday, the superintendent said Robertson was unable to produce a transcript confirming her undergraduate degree from the University of Tulsa, Smith said.

Real journalists are fricking great. Hope the kid keeps it up for a career.

Just like the boy from SI Kids...asked probably the best question of the NCAA Tournament to Frank Martin.

Really brings some light to the "All I need to know I learned in Kindergarten" mantra. Instead of focusing on what will bring the best headline...how about we go back to what information is important.

I was on the journalism staff at my high school.

I wasn't even close to a fraction as motivated as those students. In fact if I tried to look into a teacher's background....the subject would have been the journalism teacher who ran a construction side business during school hours.

Makes the high school look bad. First page of google results for Corllins University has complaints that it is a scam.

You are right. I just googled it. You would think, that since it isn't a commonly know school, they would at least see if it checks out. The third result on the first page is titled "Corllins University Accreditation Scam".. And if it wasn't for the HS newspaper, she would have probably gotten away with it.

I actually feel a little sorry for who they hire next. I'm sure it will be a qualified person after this but you know those tenacious little journalism students will be calling your previous employers up and asking interesting questions.

Well done!

Hope that journalism instructor has an updated resume.

Can we get these kids to investigate the BRCOA?

Does Baton Rouge High have a student newspaper? I bet a few journalism students looking to get into a serious university could really make a name for themselves off that stupid bitch at CoA.

Unfortunately the information that is important isn't the information that drives the most traffic.

That's why people are not educated on the things they need to be educated on, because people are more likely to read a story about what athlete a Kardashian is banging than some real life issues that could actually have an affect on their life.

I remember those days.

Then in 2005 or 2006 it was only good for crossword puzzles and sudoku.

In the 90's until about '04 the Reveille was what every other college paper in the nation wanted to be. It won tons of awards and gave the Advocate a run for its money on breaking stories. Of course, this was when the Manship's were involved with the school and serious about journalism. All of that is gone now thanks to the internets and "clicks" being the measuring stick. Funny thing is that the internet made instant news possible to the masses and then immediately devolved into porn and gossip. Sad.

If you are going to BS something like that, how do you not at least have a CYA strategy? Like a fake diploma or something? I mean if she had the 'degree' for 20 years it would be almost impossible it wasn't real if she swore on it and the place is no longer around. It's one thing to do it for a bachelors, but how do you not have a smarter plan for something like a principle? Terrible.

She just went to a diploma mill.

Couple minutes on google shows it's worse than that. She didn't "go" anywhere; the supposed university is just a website that sells paper for about $1500 and backdates the work for multiple degrees.
