Yep, I moved away and when I came back it was shocking and appalling how disgusting New Orleans was compared to the other southern city I was in.

Saw it yesterday in Baton Rouge on Siegan right by the Lowe’s overpass. Threw out bag of Popeyes that wasn’t even tied up. He was with another brother. No way was my old arse pulling up to two of ‘em.

FIFY. Of all my complaints about this festering sewer of a state, the littering is my #1. The majority of people ( vast majority) are fricking disgusting, trashy losers who would shite and stand in it if they could. Their trashiness knows neither race nor socioeconomic status. From wealthy business owners to trailer dwelling laborers, they all share the same reprehensible habit of littering. It’s indicative of why this state and the vast majority of its inhabitants will never rise beyond their laughing stock status. And it’s why this state will never progress beyond its last/second to last ranking in all categories of suck.

When you see litter everywhere, a lot of people probably just think "what is one more piece of trash".
Clean communities often have far less litter as (1) they have people going around picking it up and (2) far less people will throw trash out the window if the area is already nice and clean.
