Crazy that this category even exists.
Time for a 20 year old man who identifies as a 100 year old woman to set some new records.

I met her at Leeward Park in University Acres about 7 years ago after she gained notoriety for her track accomplishments. She was riding her bike through the neighborhood! At 100 years old!

Oh no! Sweet lady that was amazing with her stamina. Had lunch with her one day and really enjoyed talking with her. Great life.

I am 56 years old. I could not imagine living another 52 years. Imagine being born in 1916 and witnessing several World conflicts; the birth and death of celebrities and world events.

Julia Welles was born on Feb. 10, 1916
She was born only days before the Battle of Verdun started. When she was born, there was still such things as the Austrian-Hungarian, Ottoman, German, and Russian Empires. Almost all of the continent of Africa and huge swaths of Asia were European colonies. Veterans of the American Civil War were still holding regular reunions. She lived through Great Depression, was an adult during WWII, witnessed the beginning and end of the Cold War. When she was born, the only way to communicate across oceans was either by letter or at best the telegraph. And she saw air travel go from wood & canvas biplanes to the Falcon 9 rocket.

She turned 48 the day after The Beatles played Ed Sullivan for the first time!
For the Country's Bicentennial, she was only 60!

Didn't the oldest woman just die too.
Yep, for the us....
HOUSTON (KAKE) - Elizabeth Francis, the oldest person in the United States, has died at the age of 115.
LongeviQuest reports Francis was born in 1909 in Louisiana and lived most of her life in Houston, Texas.
"Until her death, she lived with her 95-year-old daughter Ms. Dorothy Williams in their Houston home," LongeviQuest said on its website. "Her primary caregiver was her granddaughter Ms. Ethel Harrison. Ms. Elizabeth was a Houstonian icon and a cherished member of the community
Born in St. Mary Parish

Even though she had never competed on a track, Ms. Hawkins said that her children wanted to see how fast she could sprint.
I wonder how old her kids are. They have to be pretty old.
