Honest assessment? Indians generally assimilate. Value education. Value family. Generally good people once they get stateside.
Pathetic

Eta: Had Kafka really been on his A Game, he would have said “Jinu Thorpe.” Jinu is a dot name. “Jin” is Chinese or Japanese.

On my commute home, I drive through a few school zones. One is a middle school that, based upon the students I see walking home, is 98% Indian. The school has a nice football field next to it that I’ve never seen put to use. I’m sure it won’t be long before the goal posts are removed and a new library is built there.

Indians in Texas love them some football

I generally have a positive view of Indian people based on personal experiences, which are limited.
Positive bias because I love the food and the people I’ve met seem warm and friendly, but limited interactions.
I read a lot of negative stuff on how they can act.
That’s it.

What's wrong with just enjoying football because it's just that good! Same with hotdogs, burritos, curry or sushi?
We absorbed the 'best' of the past and they will absorb the best of now.
You and I can debate countries, values, cultures etc, kids' taste buds and likes for things that are genuinely awesome do not.

Ever heard of Jin Thorpe?
Carlisle Indian School was supposed to be the Washington Generals or the New York Nationals to the Harlem Globetrotters. They were supposed to be the patsy to the Ivy League football schools till Pop Warner became their coach (yeah THAT Pop Warner).
The program was active from 1893 until 1917, when it was discontinued. During the program's 25 years, the Indians compiled a 167–88–13 record and 0.647 winning percentage, which makes it the most successful defunct major college football program. During the early 20th century, Carlisle was a national football powerhouse, and regularly competed against other major programs such as the Ivy League schools. Several notable players and coaches were associated with the team, including Pop Warner and Jim Thorpe.
