Just prepare for LA traffic

I'm starting in Kingman, AZ and heading east/north and will not be doing the CA portion of the route.

When you pass thru Sapula Oklahoma, don't miss Gasoline Alley Classics. It is a block off 66 and housed in a former model T assembly plant. The bathroom is incredible

I hope you stopped at the Pooseum in Williams, AZ. They are #1 in fossilized #2. Williams is a cool town.

I lived on HWY 71 in my childhood and still prefer to take that route to LSU games in the fall. I have recently realized that this HWY goes from Krotz Springs, LA to northern Canada. Now that I am retired, I have been thinking about driving that route from beginning to end.

Rte 66 San Berdoo to Tucumcari in 1970 before I 40 was built on my way cross country in my $200 used 1962 Ford T-bird convertible at 100+ mph after discharge from the U.S. Army. Great experience.

I can’t fault you if you gave it the effort. I’ll be 60 in a few months, and a lot of this tech stuff whips my behind, too.

Short on pics?

I was expecting to see Cadillacs buried nose deep and motels made to look like teepees.
