we had the same experience with a friend. SWMBO was a air force brat, and when she saw the pic sent by the "marine", she pointed out that he was in Army gear.
marine sent some loose diamonds that got hung up in customs. all she had to do was give customs a cashier's check for $1,500 bail the diamonds out.
