Just heard the largest non military explosion about three miles north of Livingston.

We had something similar recently. My house rattled and my parents house 15 miles away did the same.

I’d love to hear a sonic boom. Learned recently that the boom is continuous and lasts the full duration the jet is supersonic, not just when it crosses the threshold.

Probably an Acetylene Balloon Bomb. LINK. Basically, it's a garbage bag filled with acetylene--or maybe an acetylene/oxygen blend. Seriously.
Motherfrickers used to blow those things up every New Year across the river from us. Everything on the farm would shake/rattle/roll. That lasted until one of the guys had a bag blow up about 8 feet from him--got himself a good case of burns, permanent hearing loss, etc. That was 30 years ago, so the dumbasses have probably forgotten the lesson learned by an earlier generation of rednecks.
