You should look into the Super Unicorn. It's the super most super truck on the market. I can't think of anything else I like talking about on the OT than trucks. The topic is so interesting and there is never any shortage of threads addressing anything and everything about trucks trucks trucks. i am not sure if I will be able to sleep tonight in eager anticipation of the next truck thread on the OT, which cannot come soon enough. God willing.

I was thinking I would wait a few weeks before giving a review of my Ram, but it sounds like I should go ahead and get that shite posted.

Having tech worse than Uconnect is tough to do. Impressive feat by Toyota.

I have a Navigation system that works off satellite. Android and Apple are absolutely useless when I have to go to areas where cell phone signal is nowhere to be found.

Those places without cell phone coverage exist, but they're not the places I need navigation. I don't need an app to get across the Idaho panhandle.

There is a patch for the ECU that helps a lot too. You need to go ask for them to put that TSB on your truck,

On the tacoma forum they say it works for a while then reverts to the same sluggish shite the stock tuning has.

I had a 2017 tacoma and my 2 biggest complaints were 1. It was just uncomfortable, 2. The backseat was too small. When kid number 2 arrived toyota was begging me to trade it because kf the short supply with covid so I got a crew max tundra with sr5 and trd off road

I have a 14 with 136k miles on it and it’s still like a new truck. I agree on it being a bit too small but I knew that going in.

I run 89 octane gas in mine and it performs noticeably better.

I do agree on the transmission. It sometimes doesn’t shift like it should, especially from1 to 2. It’s kind of weird. It’s always done it.

I keep the back seats folded down as a cargo area. No kids lift in my nest so that’s not a problem.

When I was buying a truck a couple of years back, I first looked into the midsize trucks but quickly discovered that there’s really no benefit to not going full size — unless you’re worried about parking.

Resale Value is AMAZING (I gave $34.5 new and got $31 on trade in after 2 years and 27K miles)

It is effectively the cheapest vehicle to drive because it barely depreciates.

You talk about more truck for similar money, but that is simply the price to purchase.

Also you won’t notice the nimbleness of the Tacoma until you have to maneuver a full size.

Resale is phenomenal. In a forum where people claim to be money smart its a good vehicle. Sure there are more comfortable rides but for the cost its great. I just wish I would have looked harder for a LB double cad. The short bed sucks

The taco is like driving a go cart compared to my Ram. This is true for both cornering AND ride quality.

I bought a 2020 Tacoma Limited V6/4x4 in May 2020. I love it but there some things that aren't that great. The back seat room is small, but I'm the tallest one in my house at 5'5", so not that big of a deal. The engine needs more horsepower overall. I do mostly commute driving in DFW but occasionally pull a boat. It pulled just fine for what I needed but when not pulling if you slam the gas on the interstate, it didn't get up and go like the Chevy or Ford in the same class. I was limited in garage space and my garage is alley access, so a full size truck would've been a very tight squeeze. In the end, it suits my needs but I can see how others would prefer a full size truck. If I went that route, I would have chose between the Tundra or Ram.

They added Alexa support back in December or so, but you physically have to have the entune app open. And half the time it doesn’t think it’s open. It’s dumb. The echo auto connects automatically, it’s external and not ideal, but I don’t have to open an app to request Charley Farley or the Lacs when I need to white man thug out.

Insane to me that any small truck is as expensive as a full size.

You can buy a new stripped down 4x4 4 cyl for 22,500 drive it a year or two sell it for more than you paid for it. many dealers don’t order base sr models tacos but a few do, fly and drive it home.

You traded in a Tacoma for a freaking RAM?!? Sheesh, gawd help you! You went from prob one of THE most reliable truck makes to the WORST. Congrats... hope you enjoy the infotainment. That’s all people seem to care about.
