Guy is an idiot, boeing doesn't build engines.

My bad, I do see it is cast into the turbine housing. Wonder what it is?

That ain’t nothing. All the high class baws in Louisiana have Y2K Superbikes. These bad boys are made down in Franklin, Louisiana. Just check out this purr, YouTube.
Here is 233 mph in a quarter mile.

Did Boeing actually make engines? I thought bought them from other companies.

Back in the day, Andy Granatelli ran a turbine-powered car at Indy. The car was leading with ten miles to go when , I believe, a transmission bearing burned out.
Indy immediately changed the rules to make turbines uncompetitive.

The question is why?

Price out what it costs to rebuild a 928 engine.

Should have LS swapped it...

They did at one time, but not many and not now. They have helped design and test some more recently. I would expect that is an older one. Boeing uses GE or Pratt and Whitney turbines as I understand it.

I was hoping to see it move in the video, but now, not so much.

300hp is right about where the Law of Diminishing Returns kicks in for a car that size. You see bigger numbers nowadays because cars have become heavy as frick. IDK about a turbine-driven car, but a 300hp gasoline 928 would absolutely smoke some of today's "fast" cars in a road race.

My neighbor was telling me about his boat, I asked was it a prop or a jet. He said jet of course.

928 was a 160mph car with less than 300hp

IIRC, the 928s had about 300 hp stock and were pretty fast for late 80s standards. one of if not the 1st to have an 8 cylinder.

No, it wouldn't.

Many years ago I was coming back to the launch (Bonnabel launch for the locals) in my little 14’ Boston whaler. The way the launch is you have to come in channel then make a left into the ramp. You couldn’t see anything at the launch until making that left because of the rock jetties. Any who, as I came in and was about to make that left Al Copeland’s Phenomenon was starting to fire up. It’s the closest thing to what I’d imagine a space rocket firing up would sound like. Scared the shite out of me. It was still on the trailer but had enough of its arse end in the water to throw some pretty good waves. Needless to say I turned my arse around and waited until they were finished fotting around with it.

Andy even stuck the same model P&W turbine engine (ST-6B) in a 78 corvette. Heck, why not?

That #40 was the car that almost won Indy, driven by Parnelli Jones.

Thats correct.
There was a concern with holding the free turbine stationary when the brakes were held at ground idle. It proved not to be an issue after testing and after the race was over. The PT-6 series is a bullet proof engine when operated within its limits.

It is more expensive to rebuild the Porsche engine vs something like a LS however it isn't all that bad.

I have seen a Renegade Hybrids (the most often chosen kit used for 928's & 944's) LS swapped 928. I wouldn't choose to do it.

"Should have LS swapped it" is pretty much a meme now.

It's not always as simple as some make it out to be. Especially into something with zero GM DNA.
