I was told my request couldnt be granted because of the possible decrease in ad dollars if I wasnt allowed to post. I was told that I was considered "box office".

Yep, that's the frightening part. Dude would have been willing to say anyone they caught were the perpetrators...but they happened to catch his accomplices.

I can see it as the obvious ploy to make Trump supporters look bad and as an attempt to garner sympathy or to prove all his/the Left's fear mongering, but not to help his "Empire" paycheck. Insanity.

I didn't think it was to get a raise. I thought it was to stay on the show. I thought I read he was being written off and he was trying to make it hard to do that. Not get a raise.

I've been seeing around the rumors are that Jussie faked this because he wanted a bigger salary. If that is true, he has to be even dumber than I thought. Either that, or just plane ole lazy.
Empire was his first big acting gig. If he wanted to make some serious cash, he would need to star in his first major movie. That shouldn't be that hard. I mean his sister is Jurnee Smollet. She is not an A-list actor by any means, but she has at least made a name for herself. Before this, Jussie was still largely known as Jurnee's brother.
His cast mates Terrance Howard and Taraji Henson has for sure made a name for themselves in acting. They were well known way before Empire started shooting.
The Director, Lee Daniels, has worked with Tyler Perry and Oprah Winfrey before. He definitely has the connections for Jussie.
Not to mention all the celebrities who have cameo'd on the show, including Chris Rock, Forest Whitaker, Cuba Gooding Jr, Naomi Cambell, Raven-Symone, Taye Diggs, Phylicia Rashad, Rosie Odonnel, Marisa Tomei, Alicia Keys, Vivica A Fox, and many more singers/rappers/actors.
All he had to do was network, which is what normal people do when we want to advance in our career.

As bad as this whole thing is, that is the worst part for me. If he would have told police, "you know what, I just want to move on with my career, no need to arrest anyone. They only put a scratch on myself". This case would not be nearly as big as it is now i feel like.

If he pleads guilty the judge can sentence him to the 1 year in jail and he would go to jail immediately. His lawyers wouk d have zero say so on possible sentencing.
Bond out then let your lawyer plead it down and have some control over what can happen to the race baiting idiot.
You ALWAYS plead not guilty even if guilty.
