Isn’t this the second or third time we’ve had this thread?

Is it or are they new Juneteenth weekend celebration incidents? They happen so frequent it's hard to keep up.

Let’s go BR!! 200 homicides for 2021 is a staunch reality.

How much did you say I can get like 50 acres in WV for?

I'm starting to wonder if we can count on private property being a thing. The takers view this as "theft."

You may have to go down guns blazing.

We may be distant neighbors one day. I'm ready to go off the grid.

Our friends are currently living on 140 gorgeous acres of rolling mountains/hills in North Carolina in a very remote area.. and also just bought 240 more about an hour away (with waterfalls and a whole river flowing through!). They are all ex special forces and bigtime preppers, so the plan is for all of us to eventually build on the land and have our own self sustaining farm community.

We went and visited both properties last week. I used to not really be sold on the idea, but it is becoming more and more appealing every single day. If his job didn't force us to be here, we would be gone pecan.

Only sucky thing is absolutely zero cell service currently and the WiFi is like dial-up level slow.

Im the complete opposite of a nature/country girl. But we took the off-road vehicle up to the very top of the mountain, with my bottle of Cabernet, and I have to say I could get very used to this happy hour.

We drove through the NC mountains in the summer of 2019. It was beautiful!!

But we found out #5 gets elevation sickness - so we may have to live off the grid on flat land

I had no idea NC was so gorgeous. I wasn't even looking forward to the trip. We both were blown away by how awesome Asheville was.. and then the nature our friends live on.

You weren't around back in the day, but I'm 30 and started here when I was 18 and I was completely leftie progressive. Funny how age changes you.

Don't get me wrong -- I'm still a bougie lady as far as remote/nature things go. But its just different. Progressive views are horrid.

I watched a highlight video of a 87 Saints game today and the black players sounded like Einstein compared to the players today.
