People who kill themselves aren’t thinking like the rest of us. They’re in a bad place, they’re desperate, and they’re lost. Rationality is non-existent to them. Not trying to be a snowflake here, but would everyone posting insensitive comments in here please STFU. If you’ve never been affected by suicide then your opinion is marked with an asterisk.
The man who jumped this morning has a family and friends who loved him and I GUARANTEE you they had no idea the depths of this mans hurt and loneliness. And they’re going to blame themselves in at least one way for years to come. Some of them are probably reading this thread.

Jumper was a college basketball player for a small college in Texas although his social media states he studied at Indiana University. Originally from Donaldsonville and also played basketball for Donaldsonville High. He just graduated high school in 2016 and his initials were BJB.

this used to be my response as well. My son-in-law’s mother jumped from the 210 bridge a few months ago. My thought process has changed.

Crawling out on a bridge is not looking for attention, it's preparing to do it. Walking in front of your family while you swallow a some extra prozac is a cry for attention...that still should be taken seriously.
