Here? Louisiana?
Oregon is a major exporter and provider of hardwoods to this country. You obviously don't have a clue. It isn't LA.

The kid’s community service should be hard labor in the state parks. Make him see the damage he has done on a repeated basis. I would say have him help rebuild home/structures....but from the article sounds like the kid is very much hated. Kid could get hurt or killed by a homeowner.
Just force him to read Hammetime's posts on a regular basis. Or better yet, make him defend said posts...
Dusty, watch it...he will NOT back down.

The kid obviously doesn't have $37m and never will. He'll just be poor for 10 years.
I’d like it better if that was the actual ruling. “Son, you’ve done a terrible thing. I sentence you to be poor for 10 years.”

Fun to spark a fire with him.
Also to watch him burn.

Yes, here is Louisiana and Mississippi. Quote the sentence I wrote after that

I've been inside plenty of fires. I've seen them start to get out of control also. Reason for that typically was because an area hadn't been burned in a long time, and the winds picked up in a valley. That allowed the fires to touch the bottoms of tree growth. It is not easy to stop.
If it was burned previously, the fires wouldn't have gotten so big and out of control

Congrats, but I've spent much more time studying, learning from professionals, and actually doing. Maybe even 9 hours

I watched that Only The Brave movie recently. Ask me anything about wildfires and I'll give you the answer.

Same here.

So you should know the plusses and minuses of proper prescribed burns. You said these weren't done in this area. If they were, it would've reduced the chance of this happening exponentially, but you said they weren't

Was this so you could earn some Eagle Scout badge? Fire master badge?
Posted on 5/23/18 at 7:55 am to lsunurse
Yes, I just buy expensive books to earn badges for 10yr olds

The most interesting thing about the last four pages is that even though I'm quite sure that the efficacy and implementation of prescribed burning in that area was one of the first things scrutinized and documented ad nauseum, noone's bothered to check what was reported. Carry on, though, with the petty squabbling. Geez.
