Black people are the moral compass of our nation? How did he come to that conclusion? The guy is a racist, plain and simple. He hates white people. Unfortunately for the city of Baton Rouge, he has the ear of the new mayor, so he can more easily spread his racist propaganda.

If Broome is smart, she will distance herself from him and make it clear to the citizens of BR that, while he may serve in an advisory capacity, he is not a member of her administration and he doesn't represent her views.

I said "if" she is smart. That doesn't imply that I think she is. I'll go on record and say that I think she's going to be very bad for Baton Rouge. She won the mayor's race because of black block voting and white voter apathy. I don't get the impression that she is very progressive or forward-thinking. I know it's still very early in her term, but I'm surprised at how pro-black her administration has been so far....forcing police academy cadets to participate in race sensitivity training that basically teaches that all whites are racists, naming known race baiters Gary Chambers and C. Denise Marcelle to her advisory committee, being hell-bent on firing sitting Police Chief Dabadie despite not having cause, etc. Her transition team is about 80% black. For someone who ran on a platform of healing the city and promoting unity, it sure hasn't looked like that so far.
