One way to quickly judge someone's ability to critically think for themselves is to see how quickly they bash Jordan Peterson. I don't see how anyone with any common sense could sit down and really listen to what he is saying and disagree

His whole message centers around individuals being personally responsible for their own actions

Came to fame originally for saying that the Toronto government was stifling free speech by making a law that said people must call trannies by what they wanted to be called. You would be charged with like a discrimination abuse or hate crime if accusations were brought forward against you.

I agree. The only time I've ever really heard him was on Rogan and he's very logical. I really enjoyed those episodes

He would agree.

But watch the context - he shot to fame and was struggling to handle it, got sick, and then he was told his wife had 10 months to live

I wouldnt be so quick to judge the guy

To quote him "why the hell didn't i see this coming and why wasn't I cautious? That's a reasonable question. Why should people take anything I say seriously because of that?"

As a clinical psychologist he should have known better, but then again he had a lot on his plate and the drugs are like magic in the short term so if things get so overwhelming I can see most people falling prey.

How he responds will tell the tale of whether his own advice should be trusted. No one is perfect

Such a great video.

A lesser intelligent person would have been absolutely owned by that woman.

Also got into a lot of trouble in Canada for speaking out against the pronouns.

Have you heard his argument with Sam Harris about what "truth" really is? He was saying truth is anything that extends human progress (even if a lie helped human progress). Sam argued that truth is objective reality, but Peterson wasn't buying it.

Love me some JP but the guy has some real mental demons. I can't help but feel like hes a bit of a hypochondriac and that hes such an intensely thougtful guy that he actually makes himself sick. Frankly, I find his beef only diet bizarre. Not bashing the guy at all, I dont think theres a piece of media or literature of his that I havent read or listened to, and Maps of Meaning is no easy task. I just think hes kind of mind effed about his health issues, and then when his wife got a terminal cancer diagnosis it was too much to manage.

He didn’t do that great in the first debate with Sam Harris. The second debate was much better.

He also promotes the value of social hierarchy which the modern left despises.
