Jon Stewart just served Colbert, his audience, and everyone who doubts the Wuhan Lab

EDIT: Clip now on YouTube
Daily Beast
I mean… Holy shite. No way he warned Colbert beforehand what he was going to do. 10 out of 10 evisceration. Kids who are too young to remember what a powerhouse Jon Stewart was and are just here to witness his evil apprentices that have gone nuts on the world, here is the master at work. It is clear with this clip Jon was sick of the bullshite and ambushed Colbert and his audience with a bit of harsh reality. Best late night serving since Seinfeld went onto Meyers show when he said he was proud to live in a country where you could no longer make fun of Caitlyn Jenner and then he just railed into him.

Jon is and was the man. Trevor Noah is such a fricking joke, especially compared to Jon. And Colbert used to be funny, but completely sold out and gave in to bullshite woke agendas.

Would love him to speak out on the general state of the DNC as someone who longs for the days of al gore somehow being controversial

I loved this was Colbert’s initial response on Jon saying it came from the lab:
Colbert: Are you saying there’s a chance that this was created in a lab, but the WHO is investigating-
Jon: A CHANCE?!
Colbert: If there’s evidence, I’d love to hear it.
Jon: Oh my God! There’s a novel respiratory coronavirus overtaking Wuhan, China, what do we do? Oh, you know who we could ask? The Wuhan novel respiratory coronavirus lab. The disease is the same name as the lab. That’s just a little too weird!

Choose my link for now. It’s 8 minutes of ripping his former apprentice and his audience apart. I mean, holy shite.

And yet, he’ll continue to vote for the very people he makes fun of. Job security for some, I guess.

Controlled opposition. Something must have gone sideways with plan A.
Those two cuckholds don’t mumble a spoken word without being told to do so. Think about it. Whatever they are saying/doing is not coincidental and intended to influence the mass. Unlikely JS showed up sounding the conspiracy alarm (a year late) without being told to do so.

Jon Stewart on the scientists at the Wuhan:
“But this is the problem with science. Science is incredible, but they don’t know when to stop and no one in the room with those cats ever goes, ‘I don’t know if we should do that.’ They’re like, ‘curiosity killed the cat, so let’s kill 10,000 cats to find out why.“
Honestly, this was a much funnier version of this scene, and Stewart was just spot on. God bless Jon Stewart for raking Stephen Colbert over the coals with no mercy no matter how much he might like him on a personal level:

And this was his final comments apparently after coming back from the break, and Colbert asked if he wanted to clarify his statement. His (correct) response:
quote:
Can I say this about scientists? I love them and they do such good work but they are going to kill us all.

Man, I get it and I agree with Stewart here, but the days of common ground and sensible decision making are over. If they ever truly existed. What he said tonight will be largely ignored by those that need to hear it most.

But Stewart didn’t want to hear any of it, repeatedly making his point before Colbert finally asked him, “And how long have you worked for Senator Ron Johnson?”
This is the epitome of late night humor these days: "I remember the name of a Republican politician, so I'll just insert it here. Mentioning a Republican member of congress from a swing state who's up for reelection in 2022 shows how knowledgable and clever I am while helping to grow the Enemies List."

This was put on late night tv to start to condition the liberal viewers to the truth that the virus came from the Wuhan lab. Now that Jon Stewart has put it out there and they've laughed about it, it will become acceptable to say and all the shite they said about it before, "you're a racist conspiracy theorist if you believe that", etc., will be memory-holed.

Jon Stewart is untouchable. He basically just opened the door for others to have the same questions and doubts about the previous "fact checking" that was done.

I don’t think so. Colbert was clearly from the start taken aback and quite frankly pissed at Stewart for daring to say that. This undoubtedly was going through Colbert’s mind “I make you my first guest after the pandemic, and you pull this Republican talking point bullshite? Mother fricker! Well you made my career, so I can’t say much but frick you and I should spit in your face for this.” I think Jon was serious when he was fearful that Stephen was about to spit in his face and may have prevented it by directly calling him out on it before he could do it.
While Colbert would never do this since he’s a hack, Jon has strongly praised Trump in his treatment of 9/11 victims, which is his #1 cause in his life and it’s admirable. Stewart was the real deal. Colbert is simply a good performer and will sell out to anyone.

Or it was a successful satire piece with many hints of truth.

I didn't get that at all from Colbert's reaction.
