Not the biggest fan of the guy or his political leanings. But he did a noble thing here...Hope his one act of kindness towards this person helps turn her on the right path. Life is indeed a gift, but sometimes it requires maintenance on our part....Good job, JBJ..

Yeah, I'm not seeing anything negative here. Seems like he took on a risk to do an incredibly noble and decent thing

Third Eye Blind might have been able to talk her down.

But if they couldn’t, they would understand.

You know this board is a bunch of old farts now because I laughed way to hard at that David Lee Roth answer. A bunch of younger folks would not have gotten that joke at all.

I started listening to some remastered Van Halen last couple of years (good stuff), and I read that story about Roth and “Jump”. I still can’t believe his original idea for lyrics was about telling someone up on a ledge in a suicide situation to jump until Templeton talked him into making jump more about taking a chance and to not overthink it just jump into it.

Same music, Same “Jump” chorus or whatever it’s called, but egging on suicides would have been a complete mismatch of the music to the lyrics.

The Bon Jovi Hulu doc came out last month and is fantastic. Hes a very down to earth guy, and although hes a raging lib, seems cool
