My youngest, a couple of years ago, loved JoJo. For Christmas she wanted nothing but JoJo stuff. Her, her mother, a bunch of her friends, and their moms bought tickets to her concert (I think it was at Smoothie King) and rented a bus to go there and back.
Like most music that appeals to pre-teens, it's awful.

My soon to be ex, who teaches HS (no pics) tells me all the time that probably a good 25% of the girls at school spend at least some time identifying as somewhere on the LGBTQ spectrum. Usually by senior prom, they are getting caught with boys.
And 100 percent it is because of identity and traction.
