what is with peoples' obsession in Louisiana with Johnny's Pizza? It was Dominos-level at best

Nope, never been to one that far south. Is it better than the Bastrop location?
It's the best setup I've seen for a Johnny's and I've been to most of them throughout the state.

Knew Mr. Johnny well. He had gone to hospice about 10 days ago so it was just a matter of time. As many others have said, great man.
On a different note, we had some good football teams at Drew back in the early 90's. Riser always had a fast RB that gave us problems, but we won the Toy Bowl in '93!

I remember in the 70's going to the original location across from NLU now ULM. Having a gallon unopened tomato can holding up one of the booth seats didn't affect how good Johnny's pepperoni pizza was. RIP Johnny. You will be missed.

I fricking grew up eating at Johnny's on Preston in Shreveport. I was home 2 weeks ago visiting my folks, and I went there and picked up 3 pies.
frick anybody who denies its greatness. I would fight you, but you're a worthless piece of shite not worth killing. In fact, I really hope you die. That way, Mr. Johnny can kick your arse in heaven. (Assuming you get there.)
