He's the Father of Agustas McCrae's forever love in Lonesome Dove.

All of that crammed into 4 acres. I've never heard of 4 acres described as sprawling lol.

I'll never understand someone with that kind of money wanting to live on a tiny piece of land in a population center.

I'm broke as hell and my pets have more room than that.

I’d move right in and not change a thing.
Hopefully, the buyer won’t paint every surface white and install fugly spaceship light fixtures.

Who?

He just directed a few small films like The Maltese Falcon and Moby Dick. Father of Anjelica Huston. Practically a nobody.

Where did I say anything about the owner cleaning the pool? It’s a MASSIVE inconvenience when Pedro and pals interrupt our poolside orgies and art auctions. Don’t be an obtuse peasant!

Your double-wide doesn't take up much space.

I don’t think I have ever seen anything he did, but I did like reading about how he filmed deliberately and quickly. He spent time before shooting storyboarding exactly what he wanted, filmed it, and move to next shot without a lot of wasted shots. The comparison was to directors who film every angle and scenario that they can think of and then spend a lot of time editing getting the story they want where Huston said he barely knew his editors as he filmed exactly what he wanted to be in the movie.

Eastwood is similar in filming things quickly not sure if done the same way as Huston but generally wants to use 1st or 2nd take if not even earlier at times.
quote:

Sometimes when I’m rehearsing for a camera move, the performance is so good that I just turn the camera on, not wanting to lose it. I’ve seen it happen in the past that actors come out really good at the start and then all of a sudden, they start killing it with improvements.

Not sure if below true, but it fits how Clint likes to keep things moving.
quote:

At one point during shooting, director Clint Eastwood called Kevin Costner from his trailer to film a shot of his character walking through a field, but Costner told him that he wasn't ready yet. As it was a simple shot, rather than wait for Costner to get ready, Eastwood continued to shoot the scene by simply using Costner's stand-in, Mark Thomason, dressed in his shirt. When Costner finally arrived on set, Eastwood told him: "Never mind, we're moving on". Costner was shocked to discover that the scene had continued without him, but Eastwood simply replied: "I get paid to burn film". In an ensuing argument, Eastwood reportedly told Costner: "If you walk off, I'll shoot close-ups with your double. You watch. This guy will play the whole movie. I'm not here to jerk off - Everything!" After that incident, Costner did not leave the set during shooting again.

Since Gene Hackman recently passed away one of the articles I read had Eastwood mentioning Hackman (article was from 2012).
quote:

Sometimes I rehearse with the actors, sometimes I don’t. Most actors have a pretty good idea coming to it, because it’s what attracted them to the role. Some are extremely instinctive and grasp the character right on. A great example of that would be Gene Hackman in “Unforgiven.” He had the character so perfect right out of the box on every shot, every sequence, and he really didn’t have to do anything different—he was amazing.

That seems like a big arse piece of property. Nice

4 acres? 4 acres isn’t that big when you put all that shite on it. Might be eye popping for So Cal, but it seems pretty humble to me. Especially for that price.

Huston's character in Chinatown is an all-time movie villain IMO.

Jokes on you...it's a single wide lol

But seriously. I'd rather live in a trailer on 300 acres in the country than a mcmansion crammed on 4 acres in the middle of crazy town.

With 20 million you could build some awesome stuff. With that kind of budget my living room windows would be looking out into the inside of a lake. Chilling in the house and watching fish in a lake.
