It’s a way to pass the time. On call waiting for calls that might never come, so I can’t ever rest.

And I’ve written countless songs about places I’ve never been or things I haven’t done so I can’t judge them too harshly.

He just sang it with such passion so when I found out he was from New damn Mexico it just made me think.

And he probably smoked lots of pot,

Though it might sound absurd,

And right now how I miss,
All my ignorant bliss,

David Allen Coe wasn't in jail for murder.

Elton John’s song “Nikita” depicted a song about a woman complete with a music video of said woman at the Wall. However, the Russian name Nikita is a man’s name.
