Johnny Cash never heard a train from Folsom Prison.
John Fogerty wasn’t born on the bayou, never even lived in the South.
Did we grow up with nothing but lies?
Next you’re gonna tell me Dolly Parton never worked 9 to 5,
The Proclaimers never walked 500 miles,
And the Beatles didn’t live in a yellow submarine.
What are some other lies we were sold?

Fun fact. Johnny Cash was on duty at an Air force listening post in Japan when Russian radio chatter about Stalin's death started breaking out. He was possibly the first westerner to learn of it.
