there's no way a rich celebrity could buy weed in Cali and somehow get it to Texas.
CO is a hell of a lot closer

What I don't care for with him, is he's not fiscally conservative at all.
From Trump to some rookie representative in the House there isn’t a republican on Capitol Hill that is fiscally conservative - they may claim it, but they don’t vote it.

Let’s not pretend that Vegas ever attracted people with the highest morals to live there.
It was once a nice, conservative place where people could retire, have fun, and leave their money to their kids without it being taxed to death

Because the mob would kill any public official who tried to take their cash from them.

Fox news or your grandpa tell you that? If you take the time to look up the statistics instead of just parroting some bullshite, you'd see that isn't the case at all. The people leaving CA tend to be more right leaning, hence why they're leaving
People are disagreeing here but I find it to be true.
Polls said that more non-native Texans votes for Cruz in 2016 than native Texans.
I’ve met 2 people at my church that moved here from CA in 2018 and they said Cruz was the first statewide politician they voted for that won.
We go to a family camp in East Texas and there are plenty of Californians there and I made a joke about them invading our state and every single one of them said the people that they know that left CA for politics and are republicans.
This is anecdotal. There’s of course people that do keep voting the same way. I met a dude in my neighborhood out running who just moved here from Austin. A few years before that from CA. Left both because of high taxes, homeless, and CoL. Then had a Beto sign in front.

His career basically revolves around being in L.A. all the time.

I wouldn’t consider being a stand up comedian his actual career at this point.
It’s a nice hub for his podcast guests but he’s big enough that those guys would make a trip down wherever he is at for that. All of the comedians he gets travel thru Austin already

And let’s face it, weed is probably going to be legal in Texas within 2 years anyway.
I doubt it. They’ll be ahead of the Bible Belt curve but there’s still some staunch old school republicans in the majority of the state
Would be nice if we could elect someone with the balls to just do it federally or reschedule it so we can get the ball rolling everywhere. Especially coming out of this damaged economy

He's been talking about moving for years. To a place like Montana or something to hunt. He's all talk like Elon. What's up with these idiots wanting to move to Texas? Would kill his pod.

This is how states like Texas and Florida turn more blue.
California already turned Colorado blue. Now Texas is threatened by this. New Yorkers are on the verge of turning Florida blue.
It's amazing how dumb people are. They run away from the very thing they hate and vote for the thing they hate in their new state.
Seems like NY and Cali would turn more red in the process but doesn’t seem to work that way. The liberal cancer just devours everything.

If Republicans would frick off the social issues so many more people would vote for them. If they actually believed in states rights it would be a great party.

Rich people, entertainers, and top tier tech talent will always want to live in California. They make enough to overcome the barrier to entry that exists for most of us middle class folks.
Joe Rogan and Elon Musk will never live in Texas full-time, no matter how much money it will save them.

Travis county has essentially decriminalized it. They raised the standard for proving the difference between hemp and weed and the test is extremely expensive. City council has directed the police to put any weed charges/investigations at the bottom of their priority list.
Problem is Williamson County is the exact opposite, and they're neighboring. They will scrape your bowl and take you to jail.
Look im with you, i wish he would be able to. But hard rights are going to be pissed hes in their state spewing his Roganisms while puffing the Cheeba.

Lots of Chicago transplants too. Kids from deep blue families. The transplants far outnumber the natives in Denver it seemed when I lived there.
