I have kept up with this trial and retrial from the beginning just because of the brutality of Travis Alexanders' murder and the story behind it. I simply can't believe that didn't come back with the death penalty knowing that the first jury was very close to ruling that way intially. His family must be completely devastated.

You could hear them sobbing in the courtroom. How a woman stabs a man 30 times, slashes him from ear to ear, and shoots him in the face avoids the death penalty is beyond me.
