First date: Dinner at the casino
I knew he was the one when a few days later he asked me if I wanted to go to a George Strait concert with him. :nana:

I remember when I was going through the driving part of drivers ed. class and it was time to drive over the 210 bridge followed immediately by going over the I-10 bridge. Fun times when you're learning how to drive.

I'll never understand why some people pose for pictures with dead bodies. I wouldn't want to remember them that way.

how did Blue miss that strike three call?
I don't know how in the phuck he missed that call. It was just beneath her belt and over the plate. :banghead:
And either the bad calls got to Corbello or she just wasn't feeling too well, but her poise was almost nonexistent. At times, it looked like she didn't want to be there.

felt like a tropical storm without the rain.
I thought this too. It was so weird.
You could hear the roar of constant wind (30-40 mph) and then the occasional gust to upwards of 60 mph. It may have sprinkled, but when it did, the drops went sideways. Our power was out from 9:30 to about 11:30. My kids were pretty scared and I ain't gonna lie, I was too. I didn't know what was going on.

How is this a witch hunt if he openly admitted that he fired rounds at a truck driving down the road? I know he said he was trying to shoot at the tailgate, but that doesn't excuse the fact that, in his haste to scare or intimidate, he killed someone and injured 2 others.
re: I almost killed a cyclist
Posted by Cajunchick on 3/31/15 at 8:17 am to Rex
True story... my SO works in law enforcement and worked the scene of this accident involving this cyclist who riding down a rural road around our house. The guy wasn't looking up while riding, for apparently a good while, and ran into the back of an Asplundh wood chipper that was parked on the side of the road. Luckily for him, the wood chipper wasn't on, but the dude had some serious head injuries even with his helmet on.

Why do so many parents freak out over a fever? Isn't it the body's way to fight infection?
The only times I have ever freaked out and brought my son to the ER was when he had febrile seizures. My son had one at 1 year old and the second (and thankfully last) at 3 years old. The scariest shite you have ever seen is watching your 1 year old seizing.

We got a few of those around the house, but we don't care about those cheap arse rings. We love the fight and character that our boys show against worthy opponents. To fight back from a deficit or turn an incredible double play that even the other team's parents can appreciate is what it's all about.

You would think that abut you are wrong. They just pay to play and fundamentals are not taught. The rec league/ travel ball you played is a completely different from now. I played rec/travel ball too but the advanced players got the fundamentals during travel ball and practice. Now you just play every weekend and thats it.
No offense, but you couldn't be more wrong about this. I took my 9 year old son out of rec ball a few years ago to give him a better chance at learning the fundamentals of the game. Rec ball was daddy ball to us. I don't throw money around for him to play tournament ball either. I pay all of $600/year for him to play on his team and that covers the cost of tournament entries and uniforms. We travel from east Texas to east Louisiana.
Just this weekend, my son bunted on base 3 times (one for a double due to a throwing error).
We have friends that had their boys playing rec for the past few years who are just getting to play at the travel ball level at 9 years old and they are having a rough go of it, due to not learning the fundamentals and not having solid competition.

Let me break this down for you....
Fight (noun): a physical dispute between opposing individuals or groups
The key word here is between.
Between: by the common action of; jointly engaging

I often wonder if a better approach for police would be to just withdraw completely from areas of cities with high crime and force the residents to police themselves. Just have the cops patrol the borders and make sure the crime doesn't spread.
Sadly, I think this is the only viable option. The community doesn't want them there, so just leave them to themselves.

I am glad I am a law abiding citizen so I don't have to worry/fantasize about these conspiracy theories. I rest easy.
