I never said I worked hard

I know salesman that rolls in bank too, that also work 7 days a week. Their job consist of taking customers fishing, hunting, golfing, skeet shooting, working trade shows, conventions, dinners, lunches. They miss kids bday's, baseball games, family time, etc.

I used to be that guy.......no fricking thanks.

Married and kids? job B

Getting a big jump to a $155,000 salary in just 3 years is fantastic, even if you make $49,000 to start. It would be worth it if you show patience, determination, and hard work. Plus good benefits is great for your family as well. I would probably choose B.

That was my first thought. That's a big jump in pay. I'd be skeptical. Good luck.

B--Given your family situation which you've discussed before and possible medical bills that may arise, unless your wife can get good benefits through her job, the better benefits would be a big plus.

Also, if it ends up that they're jacking you and you don't get a big bump in salary within 3 years, you could always leave and your resume now has more varied experience, so you wouldn't necessarily lose out.

Question: For job B, are you a salary worker or paid hourly? If $49,000 is base salary for 40 hours/week and you're paid hourly, wouldn't you get 10 hours overtime if you're working 50 hours a week?
