So he said that one of the pics in that text thread was taken last week when the text was supposed to be from years ago.
I'm not a big Cornette fan simply because he just doesn't want to let wrestling evolve....he was against most of the attitude era which was the biggest money draw period in pro wrestling history. He certainly is against what any company is trying to do today.
That said Cornette has made a lot of enemies because of his dealings in the business. I'd not discount that when you talk about the "several others" that have said the same thing.
Bottom line is this will never be proven either way...and it won't hurt Corny more than anything he has already done...the people that still like him will believe it's bullshite and continue to like him and support his podcast and such. The people that hate him will still hate him.
At this point in his career Corny was too radioactive before this for WWE or AEW to do anything with him. Hell he was too radioactive for NWA, Impact, or ROH.

A lot of things get lump into the term "Attitude Era." It almost represents mid to late 90s wrestling as a whole and not just WWE. That said, looking back on it, WWE from early 98 to probably late 99 was just an awful product outside of the main event.
It's 2000-2002 era WWE that I remember most fondly.

No one should ever discourage Cornette's Russo rants. I don't listen to his podcast regularly, but I try to find all of those rants. His hatred of that man rivals just about any hatred I've ever seen.

I actually love his podcast. It’s an annoying but I fast forward through his political bullshite.
He is right on modern wrestling for the most part. Also no way his podcast would get canceled and he pretty much does nothing else now.
