Laws are different in every state. In Louisiana children recieve a certain percentage of forced heirship. He wouldnt have been able to do that in Louisiana unless the kids murdered him.

I dont know the particulars of the will but looks like he left it all to the 2nd wife. How you dont give any money to the kids (even 10k a piece) and a large chunk to charity is total hypocrisy.

Not entirely true anymore. I believe currently, if they are estranged they can still be cut out in Louisiana. One of our OT lawyers can verify details.
