New to a house on a lake and there are hundreds of leaves by the edge of my property that borders a lake. Is it a dick move to blow these into the lake, or should I suck it up and bag them?

Do leaves from the trees fall into the lake?

If you have to ask, I suspect you already know the correct answer, you are just looking for approval from someone to do the wrong thing.

Rake.
Bag.

arent they just going to sit at the edge of your area of the lake and get all wet and nasty at the water's edge? Lakes don't really have tidal forces moving shite around do they?

So seems like you'd only be fricking over yourself which seems fine I guess if that is the move you want.

I sometimes wonder about this as i watch my gardeners send leaves into the ocean around my pacific archipelago home, then I remember “this is why i built a house on an archipelago in the middle of the ocean...to do what i want.”

I'm guessing you can't get em with a mower?

I just mow mulch leaves.

do you want a clear water lake in your back yard, or a slurry pond?

The leaves will clog the drain at the bottom of the lake, and cause flooding.

Do it just once and see how you feel afterwards. Why not.

So you can afford lakefront property but not a guy to rake the leaves for you?

38 bags last weekend and 28 yesterday. And by this time tomorrow, you won't even be able to tell I raked/blew.

Yesterday did the last yard cut of the season mostly for the leaves. I strategically cut and blew them into a few areas and then mulched them with the mower. I did however get the rake to get the leaves off of a few trees that the mower couldn't reach. I'm not raking and bagging 40 bags of leaves.

Leaf vac is the way to go. Cut down bags by more than half from this year to last year.

does not take much more effort to blow them onto a concrete surface and vacuum up its pretty quick.

Must do it before the rain or else its a bit of a pain in the arse.
