Damn that wager almost fricked him.

Part of me wonders if Brad even prepared for this. I'm sure those other guys actually studied.

I thought he was throwing the match there for a minute.

When do they announce Ken as the next host?

Just so I’m understanding...
Ken purposely bet 0 so that if James had it right the game would keep going?

He was either trying to throw the match or he was so unsure of the correct response that he was banking on James not knowing it too.

If James gets that right on a 44k wager, Ken’s wager didn’t matter, he was going to win the night

He had nothing to lose by betting 0 but he would have risked losing to James otherwise.

This is it. No matter what Ken wagered, James had the money to beat it with a correct response. So Ken's strategy was wager zero, knowing James had to wager big to take the lead.

I thought Ken had enough points from the first game that a proper wager and correct answer could have locked James out. Anybody able to go back and post their 1st game totals and what they had going into the second final so we can do the math?

Who knew this was such a wordy Shakespearean character?
Posted on 1/14/20 at 8:13 pm to LordSaintly
He really didn’t seem to give a frick the entire time, kind of a shame but he was still entertaining as hell to watch.

Seemed like Brad was just there for the Alex sendoff.

The game was going to be won or lost on James' answer regardless of what Ken bet. If Ken had bet it all he would have risked Brad coming in for a win. I'm shocked James missed it. There are a few categories you study before going on Jeopardy. One of those is Shakespeare.
Brad threw the double jeopardy round of the last game. He needed James to win to force a game 5 so he avoided the DD's and only went for the easy money clues.

It was cumulative. Brad's game 1 score was 0.
Your first point is right though.

I'm not use to calculating Jeopardy scores for double games.
