I don’t like Landry but the EBR Parish Library system needs some negative press.

Voters need to “right sized” funding for libraries, parks, COA, and CATS in EBR. Anything that draws attention to that is fine with me.

Many companies have made it policy. Technically not ‘forced’ I guess, but you’ll get fired for not adhering to policy.

The state is required to have a balanced budget per the state constitution. They can set up a giant cliff in the future but the budget must be balanced as passed

Quite frankly this is one of the few good results of Trump

Only a few???? He’s had a few mishaps mainly the Epstein and amnesty comment but he’s killing it. Or do you prefer trannies and 3rd world invaders flooding the country. Or woke bs and colleges suppressing thoughts among many other places. He’s done a frickton

You will absolutely not get fired for not wanting to declare your pronouns in an email signature. If a company tries to fire you for not wanting to publicly declare your gender, you are sitting on a goldmine of a lawsuit.

Mental illness is not a real problem? Brainwashing people into thinking they can be he/she/it/they/them all at once isn't a problem? Jesus Christ.

I had the same thought

Everything I learned about those accounts and the people who run them has been against my will. I’m envious of anyone who has dodged that bullet.

Is it a problem to you? Does this affect you in any tangible way? Or are you just annoyed that these people exist?

Considering he'd been working at the library less than 6 months, something just seems fricky about the entire situation. Is it normal for the lead pastor of a mid-sized Baptist church to have a day job?

Still, the Library legally screwed up for firing him for this. They could have fired him without cause since he was still probational.

I suspect the lawyers representing EBRPL will argue that Mr. Ash was let go in a legal way, being that he was within the six months probation period and the system has the authority to do so without cause. I think what Mr. Ash is trying to do is argue specifically why he thinks he was let go. They supervisor may not have made any notes in the paperwork as to why he was let go.

It's honestly no different than what the Trump Administration did by firing all those federal employees in their probationary period.

I don't like the pronoun shite, but if you can't understand the singular use of they, you are retarded. The singular they has been used in English forever.

not in instances where the person being referred to is already known and singular. When you suddenly insert "they" in that instance it makes the article almost impossible to understand. Which is probably what happened in this instance, though I don't know the exact article in question so who knows.

For instance: "Bob Smith was arrested for DWI. They were pulled over at 11:15pm..." that shite don't work.

I get what Jeff is saying and don't disagree with him but he's coming across like a dumbass.

The only thing he should have said, if anything at all, is "I think its terrible and sets a bad precedent for someone to be fired for not conforming to someone idea of right speak".

The employee was still under probation period, they can argue they let him go because he was a dickhead and hard to work with, which was likely the case if he can't be bothered to be respectful of another coworker enough to address them as preferred.

In other words, FAFO
