I dont care if someone wants to bang heroin, but I also dont want to pay for their healthcare if they do. We live in such a fricking nanny state.

That is an issue.

You have to bear the brunt of other people’s poor decisions.

Scruffy would have zero issues with the vast majority of these things if the poor decisions didn’t fall on the shoulders of those being responsible.

Fix that and Scruffy is all for free drugs.

That’s a topic for a different thread though.

They are real life drug dealers:
quote:

Drug distributors like Morris & Dickson have a responsibility to protect the safety and health of customers and maintain effective controls against diversion of highly addictive controlled substances. At the height of the opioid crisis, Morris & Dickson failed to uphold that responsibility, and turned a blind eye as thousands of unusually large orders for hydrocodone and oxycodone went out the door. Today, Morris & Dickson takes an important first step by admitting wrongdoing and paying for its misconduct, and today’s settlement will ensure that such irresponsible practices will not continue in the future,” said DEA spokesperson Katherine Pfaff.

I don’t, I am not habitually consuming gas station alcohol to manage symptoms. That would make me an alcoholic, but that isn’t why I’m asking the question.

Scruffy doesn’t get depressed because he’s cashing those big vax kickback checks

at some point a t least a fraction of responsibility has to be born by the people putting the pills in their mouths. Personal responsibility is lost on too many.

Dickson is a big target, a single target and has money. Typical gov scapegoat. It’s bullshite and unamerican.

On a side note, when did gas stations get so freakin trashy? I remember small gas stations as a kid and they weren't this way.

While the OP is most certainly an idiot, have you never bought a coffee, a tea, or heaven forbid a tobacco product?

After seeing how over-medicated we are as a nation and how willing doctors are to prescribe new and little-researched medications, and how beholden they are to big pharma......I almost trust the gas stations pill section more.

I agree. Gas stations have become real trashy, third-world type hellholes. I made a long-distance car trip this past summer, and I was pretty aghast at how much they've degraded in even the past five to six years. The clerks, the customers, the grubby, filthy environment. Absolutely putrid.

They used to be pretty nice, well-kept places when I was younger. But of course, that was back when America was America.

Ikr. You might spend thousands out of pocket on x rays, mris, specialist visits, then they want to give you the latest MAB, and on top of that lortabs, gabapentin, nsaids, etc. Maybe nerve burn procedures, epidurals, surgery. And the people who have neck and back surgery always seem to still have just as much pain as before. If this gas station crap works for people, it can’t be as bad as a lot of what people “legally” get.

It'd also be nice if his royal highness could get someone to cut the grass on the state highways. Crossing the state line and seeing two foot weeds in the medians just makes this state look trashier than it already is.

Is the governor supposed to just veto every bill that comes across his desk because it upsets some people?

So you think people that buy gas station drugs aren’t going to “be stupid with it”?

When you started to have 6 stations within a mile and a half of each other.

IKR Karen is just trying to help people get to prison where they can get real Fentanyl instead of these gas station copycats.

We don’t have enough law enforcement for basic public safety. If someone farts on the bridge half the state lises electricity. Pedophiles roam the streets snatching small children. Prostitutes are clapping arse cheeks up and down Florida Boulevard. And we deserve it because we have the worst elected officials in the history of humanity.
