How would your top ten greatest countries in the world look like right now? The US has its problems but I would still put it in the top ten.

If most European nations were US states, they would be about on par with mississippi and WV in gdp/capita and real income.

And we the American taxpayers are why a country like Russia doesn’t own the.
But when you, the op, voted for this, I don’t know what you want.
There are a lot uf us under 40 that aren’t woke assholes pining for Soviet russia. But we also are sick and tired of the bullshite for our own government.
The left might have changed this country, but it opened up the minds of the people with common sense.

I know exactly the video you’re talking about and it’s kind of dumb. Yeah we are flawed for sure but I would argue the Constitution instantly ranks the US as pretty high up in a list of best countries in the world

The 2014 year skews that one, at least US states wise

If you remember the scene the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution was Will McAboy's second answer, behind the NY Jets. That was deemed a cop-out answer and he was pressed.
I think there were some salient bits in his answer.
The worst thing you can do when you are #1 at anything is to become complacent. When you stop being your own harshest critic is when you start to languish. Being the best requires consistent hard work on the order of what the founding fathers put in when creating these United States.
There is a knee-jerk patriotic reaction for most of us to support being the greatest country. There is nothing wrong with supporting that veneer but never at the cost of losing sight of the fact staying there is hard work which becomes harder as the population increases and more ideas about what is the best emerge.
We all have a different opinion as to what makes the best country and how we weight each possible metric that goes into that determination. I love America and IMO it is the best country for ME, that is the only thing I care about but it doesn't mean I don't think we can't improve and reading threads here daily I don't think anyone here disagrees with the second part of the declaration.

It is interesting you use that GDP chart in a discussion of what is the greatest country for 2 reasons.
1. I think it is curious the chart left off the highest GDP per capita European countries, Switzerland, Norway, San Marino, Iceland, and Luxembourg all come to mind.
2. If this is your sole or main metric are you arguing countries like the ones below are greater than the US?
Macao
Singapore
Brunei
UAE
Hong Kong
Kuwait
Ireland (though your chart lumps them into the UK)
If you want to use a single metric for the greatest country then military power would far and away be the best choice.

I thought that video was cool until I watched some rebuttals that shredded it

You are way way off bro. The Germans and Scandinavian countries standard of living is equal to a better than almost all American states. Their income is less but they have free healthcare, free college education, 4 weeks paid vacation, often free or subsidized housing etc. etc. etc. that along would add more than $75,000 a year to my income right now.
Go visit these places and see for yourself, they are significantly happier and feel sorry for us. They they were are all idiots

A lot of that folds into the fact European countries have far less wealth inequality than the US. Some see that as a positive some see that as a negative. Some people want to live in a country where statistically they have the highest chance of being a billionaire. For a select few the fact there is little ceiling is a godsend, for the vast majority, it is effectively like being happy their state allows them to play the Powerball.
That being said in purely monetary terms both my wife and I make more in our professions than statistically we would make in any other country.

Thanks to NATO and the US footing the bill to keep Russia from invading them next.

I don't need some tone deaf shithead like Aaron Sorkin telling me how to think.

So then why the hell are we subsidizing their military defenses via NATO if they're so well off and happy?
