Exactly. They get uncomfortable on long road trips.
Mine isnt bad. I drove back from nashville and galveston and back and it wasnt bad except for road noise
wife(no pics,) has a Jeep, hate going on the road in it, very loud and very rough riding, she loves it though, buys me some silence, brief silence

Actually yes I do.
I have a brother and 3 friends that have had 5 Wranglers that they sold because they were crap
Owner of a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, Backcountry edition, with 55k miles. Purchased new with a lifetime factory warranty
Have had zero issues with it. Never been in the shop. It’s been an awesome vehicle

I think they look cool but are not practical. If you can’t fit a pallet with 1 ton of weight then it’s no point in having a pickup bed.

I don't like them just stock. They have to have the extras to make them look better, like the one you posted. We have a 2020 Jeep Wrangler Sport 2D. Love it. We wrangled one hell of a deal when we purchased it. We had been looking for several years at Jeeps but never could find the deal. We actually bought it the day we were supposed to purchase my wife an SUV. We even had the appointment to purchase it. But, we stopped at a Jeep dealership along the way, just to look. The rest is history.

Love mine!
Two of my current Jeeps:
Traded my 2020 JTR (50k miles in 23 months) in on a 2021 JTRDiesel (cost me $100). I had the bed and bumpers swapped before returning my trade-in.
I’m kind of a Jeep guy though:
Not pictured (‘85 scrambler, ‘89 YJ, XJ’s, WJ’s, ZJ’s, etc.)
Unlike the “Jeep purists” I think they get better and better with each iteration. They certainly drive better.
To the OP, before you get buyer’s remorse, know this: The JT is both everything you love and hate about a Jeep and everything you love and hate about a pickup.

They are asking $55K which is high. I drive a 2011 GMC Sierra Denali with 120K miles on it. I told them if they can get me to $30K after trade we have a deal.
I love mine. I can take the top off and load the bed up with drywall and head to my job site. It’s the perfect have your cake and eat it too truck. Can pop the doors and top off/on in under 15 minutes. The resale on these things are insane right now. Dealership offered me 5k over what I paid last year.

Go with the Mojave over the Rubicon. Everything is better including the ride, just minus the front locking diff. The suspension upgrade on the Mojave is every bit worth it. The Mojave just drives better.

Veteran of an 80 CJ-7 with built AMC 360 (sold), a 2000 TJ (totalled @ 175k), currently 2015 JKUR (~95k).
CJ was the most fun (with V-8). TJ was most versatile - small, manueverable yet sufficient for 1000+ mile road trips. JKUR - damn big but luxurious and more comfy on road trips.

quote:I would say that statement entirely rides on what you plan to do with it. It will definitely handle a washboard road with moguls better than a rubicon but the Rubicon shines on slower trails with large rocks. The Mojave was built for “desert racing” like the Raptor and TRX. Unlike those two models, the Mojave is way more affordable. The biggest difference besides the resi-shocks and softer spring rates, is the higher gear ration in the Mojave’s Command-Trac NV241 transfer case with 2.72:1 low-range ratio opposed to the Rubicon’s Rock-Trac NV241OR transfer case with 4.0:1 low-range. Hence, the Rubicon’s prowess for rock crawling.
The suspension upgrade on the Mojave is every bit worth it.

I can’t imagine driving my CJ7’s with the V8. The 4.2 was plenty torquey enough for me. I’m not a go fast kind of guy.

I’ve got one. No complaints other than being a little loud at highway speeds. Make sure you get proximity entry. You can get a new Rubicon or Mojave for $55K so I’d probably pass on that one. By all accounts the factory Mojave suspension is better for on road driving than the Rubicon. That said, the one you posted has the 2 inch Mopar lift so may drive different than a stock Rubicon anyway. Red isn’t my style but do you.

I like the Gladiator, but never driven one. I know it's a new model so the resale evaluation hasn't had time to mature yet.

I bought mine at the end of June 2019 just a few months after they came out and got a great deal on it. It is a 2020 and I only have 14K miles on it but it is worth more now than what I paid for it. Thanks Bidenflation!

I still had the AMC-20 with OEM axles - could lay rubber and get the front end of the ground. Had the TF-999 auto 3-speed. Was a fun vehicle with more motor than brakes....
