cmon man. Just imperfect enough to perfectly fly JBE's flag? I think JBE has done a good job too, but I am tired of everyone caring more about their agenda than me dying or working. It is pitiful.

Lotta sky screaming about JBE here. I'm sure Rispone would've done a better job, right?

In the beginning I definitely heard them say several times that xxx deaths occurred in the past 24 hours.

Only 21 people died between now and Easter Sunday. The "huge" number today is backtracking and is messing up data.

You actually believe we saw a 2.3x jump in deaths from the previous 7 day average in 24 hours when every other indicator of the virus is declining?

Or that the holiday weekend had a backlog of data reporting from coroners and the last 96 hours have had a plateau of deaths compared to the average.

That's a good point. Though, I'm still wondering how many of the deaths were actually caused by the virus and how many died "WITH" the virus. I'm convinced the numbers are being "cooked"...

Yes. And no.

I know for a fact that certain nursing homes aren't testing clearly positive people. And have filed complaints because of it.

Not sure it would be better or worse, but it would have been interesting at least to see he strategies and his methods. I guarantee he would have a far better understanding of the economic impacts than Belle. The only issue with Rispone is his schtick and his lack of knowing how to convey information. Guy is likely counting his blessings right now that he didn't win.

We'll see some less than 20 death days later in the week when the numbers aren't easily misrepresented.

Only 21 people that were positive for COVID-19 at the time of their death.

How many died and haven’t gotten the test results back yet?

That’s why these numbers are all inconsistent

Some of you are letting politics cloud your ability to interpret data. Either that, or you're stupid.

Sure, of the 129 deaths reported today, many of the deaths actually happened a few days ago. Only a portion of those occurred in the past 24 hours. But this isn't the first day that the numbers are presented in this manner. This happens every day when we hear of the newest reported number.

Starting from April 10, when we had 755 reported deaths:
April 11 - 51 new reported deaths (806 total)
April 12 - 34 new reported deaths (840 total)
April 13 - 44 new reported deaths (884 total)
April 14 - 129 new reported deaths (1,013 total)

Whether that 129 was all within the past 24 hours doesn't matter. We've never been recording 'how many people have died in the past 24 hours from coronavirus?'. It's always been, 'how many deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours from coronavirus?'

If that is what it takes to get the idiots in New Orleans and Baton Rouge to learn how to socially distance, then so be it.

I love my family back there, but the people of Louisiana could frick up a wet dream.

Since JBE is so fond of data and trends and people staying home, how about he release all the cell phone data tracking info?

Come on JBE, put out a list of people who were not at their own home on Easter Sunday. Release some maps showing where the hot spots were where people were not at their homes on Sunday.

I demand to know if my neighbor went visit family on Sunday. My health is at risk! I want to know who was at my next door neighbors house and where they came from.

Just stay home? That is what 90% of your constituents do on a typical day.

Solid data manipulation from the holiday weekend

What does that even mean? It's not like the hospitals and reporting agencies are closed during the weekends. JBE has virtually nothing to gain by scamming you. He will never run for office again.

Edit: I see. The language they used about a bunch of the deaths being up to 3 days old. That all depends on how normal it is for the data to be that imprecise.
