I’ll give JBE credit for riding the line, his base is mad as frick he’s not going back to Phase I or stay at home. Ontario Canada, Brisbane Australia, and the UK going back to full lockdown.

I don't think he's dumb enough to send us back to full lockdown. I think the people in this state can see neighboring states that have had less restrictions and ended up no worse off. These measures don't work.

He doesn't have a choice. The R's have a supermajority in the legislature, and as feckless as they have been so far, if he attempts to go backwards they will be forced to act.
He knows how far he can take it and has found the sweetspot for his power.
