i think the issue is that there are going to be acute shortages. so the entire state may have 1k available, but if Nola only has 500 of those and needs 750, it's going to crate a major strain in Nola alone. and given all the information the public has, areas like Houma, LC, Lafayette, etc who have excess aren't going to take the chance in giving any up

Numbers still don't add up for that. The capacity must exceed every fricking November through march.

Just between the flu and stupid shite that happens during the holidays and Mardi gras.

Plus the fricking shootings every damn week.

You guys do realize people come from outside New Orleans for Mardi gras and conventions. Some person brought it here.

Why aren’t they stressing more the 80% number that I guestimate appears to not need an ICU?

Gotta keep playing this up. I see light at the end of the tunnel. The panictards need to see it as well.

because ALL THEY CARE ABOUT are ICU beds and critical care ability in hospitals

if they tell people that 80% aren't testing positive, then people will stop self isolating and the fear is this infects people who will overrun critical care

This is the type of CYA we will be hearing when it is over.

If we told y'all how minor of a deal it was then y'all wouldn't have treated it like a big deal, thus making the minor deal into a big deal...we think.

You are welcome, now you get to stay at home because your job is gone.

I can only imagine the things he’s heard companies doing, given that he’s practically begging leaders to lead and tell people to follow the mitigation strategies.

It undermines any real learning that can come from the situation.
